At St. Mark’s By-The-Lake, the choir is
full of vitality, energy and passion for spreading
Christ’s love through song. Since 2000, our choir has
blossomed from a half dozen loyal choristers to a
growing group of over twenty members. Our choir is dear
to the parish community as they bring so much joy to our
worship. They sing each Sunday contributing a variety of
beautiful anthems, introducing new hymns and
occasionally sharing special solo.
We have members as young as 11 to as
senior as…well let’s just say senior. We are fortunate
to have four sections of voices: Soprano, Alto, Tenor
and Bass. Our members come from all walks of life; some
are professional musicians, some have formal training
and some have sheer talent and desire with little formal
training. Regardless, each and every member is equally
important, and each contributes something special to the
dynamic of the whole.

The commitment to live a love filled and
Christ centered life is evident in the compassion,
dedication and generosity shown by each member. They are
musical leaders during our services, and shining
examples of how music can heal, provoke new thoughts and
ideas, bridge barriers and bring enjoyment to our world.
We practice Thursday nights at 7pm. and
Sundays at 9:30 am. before the 10:30 service. New
members are always welcome. We do our best to “make
a joyful noise” and share our love of music with the
wonderful family that is St. Mark’s By-The-Lake.
